About Me

My name is Angela Schulz. Sewing is my passion, and I've been doing it since as long as I can remember. My mother used to have a small alterations business that she ran out of an extra room in our farmhouse growing up. We spent hours sewing together side by side. She taught me everything she knew. I then went on to some classes in high school, and quickly learned there wasn't much they could teach me, and was placed into an independant study. Recently, I made my wedding dress, a velvet cloak, five bridesmaids outfits, and a Prince Charlie jacket for my husband.

Once again I was sewing side by side with my mother. The time spent with her was so precious to me because she had lung cancer, and we just didn't know how much time she had left. Mom's goal was to make it to the wedding, and she made it even though she was very droopy from her chemo. She quickly declined and we lost her 3 weeks later. In her final days I passed the time by sewing halloween costumes I had sold on ebay. After my mother passed away, I became inspired to take my love of sewing to another level by starting my own business in alterations and custom dressmaking, in honor of my mother.
